Welcome to The Outer Banks with Brindley Beach

There is something that brings people back to the northern Outer Banks. While I traveled here in the 70's with my family, I was the little kid in the back of the station wagon, it would always give me a thrill to roll down the window and smell the salt air while we crossed the bridge into Kitty Hawk. After being away for a long time, this would bring back every wonderful memory I had created in the past. While living in West Virginia, it was all I could do to stop day dreaming of the Outer Banks while I was in school. The first time on the Outer Banks for me was 1963. As you can imagine, there have been plenty of changes since then.

Fast forward to 1984, and I moved to the beach to begin working with my father in real estate. After 27 years this place means more to me now than ever before. My wife and I have an incredible 4 year old daughter, that is her on the cover of the rental book, and now home has a real meaning for me. Isn't it great to find your  love and have all that comes with having a family? I started this late, as some of you know.
But I would not change a thing. Except maybe to have started earlier with Joan.

Everyone has their first memories and best memories of Corolla, Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills. This is where I will write about mine and you can share yours. Every now and then I will throw in some rental anecdotes to add some spice.
